If you are caib designation and casualty insurance but do not have a license to sell insurance, consider earning your caib designation. This program, created by the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC), is nationally recognized and upholds industry standards for brokers.

The CAIB curriculum is a series of four courses that immerse you in the study of personal lines, commercial lines and brokerage management. Upon successful completion of the course, you receive the national CAIB designation.

These four courses allow you to expand your general insurance sales market and increase your opportunities for career advancement. These are foundational courses for the insurance industry and are designed by brokers, for insurance brokers.

Successful completion of CAIB 1 and the Fundamentals of Insurance course qualifies you for a Level 1 license to sell property and casualty insurance inside or outside of a broker’s office in any jurisdiction across Canada, including ICBC Autoplan.

CAIB 2 & 3 is the next step up from a Level 1 licence and allows you to handle commercial lines such as habitational, farm, and personal auto coverage. It also teaches the fundamentals of commercial lines and risk management, as well as how to write a policy.

These week-long courses (per module) offer a full, hands-on learning experience where you are able to directly engage in the concepts being taught and prepare for your exam on the final day of class.
